Why Don't We Go to the Moon Often?

Going to the moon is like going on a really long and expensive vacation, we don’t do it often because it takes a lot of time and a lot of money.

Getting to the moon is like jumping in a car that only goes 10 miles an hour, even though you’re trying to get to a city that's hundreds of miles away. The spaceships we use are very strong, but they also need a lot of fuel to go fast enough to reach the moon in a reasonable time.

Imagine you had to buy a whole new car just for your trip, and that car only goes on vacation once every few years. That’s kind of what happens with going to the moon. The rocket, the spaceship, and all the people who go need a lot of help, which costs a lot of money.

That’s why we don’t visit the moon very often, it’s like going on that super special vacation only once in a while! Going to the moon is like going on a really long and expensive vacation, we don’t do it often because it takes a lot of time and a lot of money.
