Why It Takes So Long
Why It Costs So Much
Imagine you had to buy a whole new car just for your trip, and that car only goes on vacation once every few years. That’s kind of what happens with going to the moon. The rocket, the spaceship, and all the people who go need a lot of help, which costs a lot of money.
That’s why we don’t visit the moon very often, it’s like going on that super special vacation only once in a while! Going to the moon is like going on a really long and expensive vacation, we don’t do it often because it takes a lot of time and a lot of money.
Examples
- Imagine going on a trip that costs as much as a whole city, that’s how expensive it is to go to the moon.
- We only have enough supplies to stay on the moon for a few days at a time.
