Why Don't We Build Beautiful Buildings Anymore?

Once upon a time, people built beautiful buildings that looked like works of art, but now, we mostly build simple boxes that look like giant toasters.

Why Buildings Used to Be Beautiful

Long ago, when people built houses and castles, they wanted them to be extra special. They used shiny stones, colorful tiles, and carved wood, it was like painting a picture with bricks! These buildings were beautiful because they took time, care, and creativity.

Why Buildings Are Simple Now

Today, we build faster and cheaper. Most people want their buildings to be ready in a snap, not years of work. So instead of using fancy stones and tiles, builders use plain concrete and glass, it’s like making a sandwich with just bread and cheese, no fancy toppings.

Sometimes, beautiful buildings still appear, but they're like rare cookies in a bag full of regular ones. They’re special, but we don’t make them as much anymore.
