Imagine a film strip lying on a table. The whole movie exists all at once, from start to finish. But when you watch it, the story moves forward because the light shines on one frame after another. That is what happens with time. Physicists say past, present, and future are all real places sitting together like frames on a reel. Your brain acts like a spotlight moving across them.
The Static Picture
Think of your life as a long road map. The house you were born in and the park where you grew up do not disappear just because you left them. They are still there on the map. We call the spot currently under our feet the 'now'. As we walk, it feels like the world is rushing past us.
Why It Feels Fast
Sometimes a hour feels like a minute, and sometimes a day feels like forever. This happens because of how busy you are. When you have new things to see, your brain records more details. Later, looking back, those many memories make the time feel longer. In simple words, time does not actually change speed. Our attention changes how much we notice it.
