Pizza slices are like pieces of a circle. When you cut a pizza into slices, each slice is shaped like a triangle, but the edge that goes around the whole pizza is still curved, just like the edge of a plate! That curved edge means each slice has one straight side (where it was cut) and one curved side, which makes the shape look more interesting.
Examples
- Imagine cutting a cake, each piece has one straight side (the cut) and one curved edge from the top of the cake.
