We use hours because they help us divide the day into manageable parts. Imagine your day is a big chocolate bar, and each hour is like one piece of that bar, it helps you plan better! Long ago, people noticed the sun moving across the sky and divided the day into 12 parts. That’s where hours came from!
Examples
- Your mom divides your cake into 8 equal slices, that’s how we divide time too.
- You break your day into morning, afternoon, and night, each part is a chunk of time.
- Your school uses hours to tell you when it's time for lunch or recess.
