How It Works
When you’re in light sleep, your brain might start talking, but you might not remember it later. In deep sleep, your brain is busy working hard to keep you asleep, so it usually doesn’t talk. But sometimes your brain talks even when you're deep in sleep, that's when people wake up confused and say strange things.
Examples
- Your brother starts talking about pizza while he's sleeping, even though he hasn't eaten anything all day.
- You hear your mom singing a song from her childhood during the night, but she doesn’t remember it in the morning.
