Why Do We See Different Colors in the Same Star?

Stars look different colors because they're like fire in the sky, some are hot and bright, others are cooler and dimmer. Just like a campfire is red when it’s low and blue when it’s high, stars show us their color based on how hot they are inside. The hotter ones glow blue or white, while the cooler ones look yellow or even red.

  1. A campfire is red when it's low and blue when it's hot, like how stars change color based on their temperature.
  2. Your friend’s face looks red in the sunset because the light has to travel through more air, just like some stars appear redder from Earth.
  3. If you look at a star close to the horizon, it might seem orange or red, like how the sun appears during sunrise or sunset.
