Why We Need Food
Imagine your body is a toy car. Just like the car needs gas to move, your body needs food to keep going. When you eat, you're giving your body energy so it can do things like climb on the jungle gym, draw pictures, or even sleep well at night.
What Makes Eating Healthy?
Not all food is the same. Some foods are like supercharged batteries, like fruits and vegetables, they help your body grow strong and stay healthy. Other foods are more like regular batteries, like candy or chips, they give you energy too, but not always the best kind.
Think of your plate as a team. If you have mostly healthy foods, your body will feel happy and full of energy all day. But if you eat mostly less healthy foods, you might feel tired or sluggish after a while.
So, eating well is like choosing the best team to help you play and learn, and that makes life more fun! Food is like fuel for your body, it helps you run, play, and learn all day long.
