Why Do We Celebrate New Year's Eve?

When a new year begins, it's like getting a fresh beginning, like when you start a new chapter in your favorite book. People often make wishes or have special food to share with friends and family, just like how you might bring your favorite snack to a party.

Sometimes we light up the sky with colorful lights called fireworks, which are like giant sparklers that go whoosh! and boom!, it's a fun way to say “Happy New Year!”
