Blushing happens when we're nervous because our body gets excited. Imagine you’re in a big room, and everyone is looking at you, your heart starts to beat faster, and suddenly your face turns red like it’s on fire! This happens because of tiny blood vessels called capillaries that open up near the skin, letting more blood flow to your face.
Examples
- You trip in front of your class and feel your face turn red.
- You say something silly at dinner, and your whole family laughs, your face turns bright red.
