The worst people sometimes become leaders because they know how to trick others into letting them stay in charge.

Imagine you're playing a game where everyone gets to pick a toy from a box. But some kids don’t want to share, they grab the biggest, flashiest toys and hide behind bigger kids so no one can stop them. That’s like what happens when bad people become leaders. They use tricks and lies, just like those sneaky kids hiding behind others.

Sometimes, the worst people are really good at pretending to be nice, they smile a lot and promise everyone will get a toy too. But once they’re in charge, they don’t share. They take more toys than anyone else and make sure other kids can't stop them from doing it.

It's like when you're playing with blocks and someone pushes you out of the way just to be first, that person might not even realize how unfair they're being.

Most people don’t want to cause trouble. They’d rather let the sneaky kid stay in charge than argue or fight, it’s easier, and they hope things will get better later.

So the worst people become leaders because they’re good at tricking others into letting them stay in charge, and most people just prefer not to make a fuss.
