Imagine your eyes are like paint. Most people have lots of brown pigment called melanin, which makes their eyes look brown or blue. But some people have just the right amount of melanin to make their eyes look green, like mixing a little yellow into blue paint!
Examples
- A baby is born with blue eyes but grows up to have green eyes because their parents passed on different eye-color genes.
- When you look at the ocean and it seems almost magical, it reminds you of someone with green eyes.
