Why Do Some People Have a ‘Sweet Tooth’ and Others Don’t?

Some people love sweet things because their brains get really happy when they eat them. Imagine your brain is like a robot that gets excited by sugar. When you eat something sweet, it sends a message to the robot, and the robot starts dancing. For some people, this dance is super fun, they keep eating sweets because they feel so good. But for others, their brain doesn’t get as happy, so they don’t love sweet things as much.

Why Does This Happen?

This happens because of special messages called hormones that help your brain know when you're full or when you want more food. Some people have more of these messages than others, which makes them crave sweets more often.
