Some people feel annoyed when someone else tells them what to do because it takes away their freedom to choose.
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, maybe a train set or a building block castle. You're in the middle of creating something amazing, and all of a sudden, someone says, "No, you have to build this way!" That can feel like someone took your idea away and put their own in its place.
Choice is fun, and when we get to pick what we do, we feel more in control. But if someone else keeps telling us what to do all the time, like a boss or even a parent, it can start to feel like they're not listening to our ideas at all.
Sometimes people who love being told what to do are okay with that because they enjoy following directions, just like how some kids love doing exactly what their teacher says in class. But for others, having more freedom feels better than always obeying someone else’s plan.
