Why Do Some Dictators Survive While Others Fall?

The King's Game

Imagine a king who rules the whole town. He can be strong or weak. If he is strong, no one dares to question him. But if he gets sick or old, people might throw a party and kick him out!

Why Do They Stay?

The king stays in his big house because he has two secret helpers: money and fear. He gives treats to the guards so they protect him. If anyone tries to take the throne, he reminds everyone how scary it is to be without a ruler. The people are tired of fighting, so they let the king keep his crown as long as he brings peace.
