Imagine your phone screen is like a big canvas, and when you swipe it, you're telling it to move things around on that canvas. But sometimes, if the phone gets confused about where your finger is or how fast it’s moving, the picture on the screen might freeze or flicker, just like when someone draws too quickly and their lines get messy.
The Swipes
When you touch a screen with your finger, tiny sensors inside the phone feel that touch. If you swipe quickly, the phone has to keep up by moving the picture along with your finger. But if it can't keep up, maybe because there's too much going on at once or the phone is tired, the screen might freeze or flicker.
Why It Happens
Sometimes, the phone’s brain gets a little distracted and misses some of the signals from your finger. That makes the picture look like it’s stuck in place or flashing in and out.
