Rainforests are like giant lungs for the planet. During the day, trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen, just like we do! At night, they breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. This cycle helps keep our air clean and gives us the oxygen we need to live.
