Why Do Phones Know When to Switch from WiFi to Mobile Data?
Phones have a little brain that checks both WiFi and mobile signals. Like when you're on the bus: your phone sees that the WiFi is getting weaker, so it quietly switches to the stronger signal from your phone carrier, just like how you might switch between two friends talking in a noisy room.
