Why Jokes Happen
What Makes Jokes Funny
Some jokes are super funny because they have a big surprise at the end. Imagine you think a pig is going to sing, but instead it says “I like green eggs and ham!” That’s funny because your brain didn’t expect that part at all!
Other jokes are funny because they use words in a silly way, or talk about things that happen every day but make them sound new. Like when you say something normal in a weird way, and it makes everyone laugh.
Jokes are like little magic spells, you just need to hear them once, and suddenly everything feels brighter!
Examples
- Grandma laughs at the same old joke every year because it reminds her of family.
