Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy and say something really funny, like 'My dinosaur is wearing a hat!', and you laugh. That's how people laugh at silly jokes. When someone says or does something unexpected, our brains light up with joy, and we laugh as a way to show that joy. Sometimes the joke isn't even very clever, but it makes us happy anyway.
Examples
- A kid says 'My pizza is green!' and everyone laughs because it's so silly.
- You hear 'Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side!' and you laugh even though it’s not very clever.
