Hair color is like a rainbow, different people have different colors because of special pigments in their hair. These pigments are made inside the body and passed down from parents to kids, just like eye color or freckles. Some people have more of one pigment than another, which makes their hair look red, brown, black, or even blonde!
Examples
- A baby is born with dark hair because they inherited the same pigments from both parents.
- A person has red hair because their mom gave them a special pigment that makes their hair turn red.
- Blonde twins have very light hair because they each got genes that make them produce less melanin.
