Blushing is when your face turns red because of something that makes you feel shy or nervous. When you get embarrassed, your body sends a message to your face telling it to let out more blood so it can show how you're feeling. It’s like when you’re playing hide and seek and your friend finds you, your face gets all warm and red!
Examples
- You trip in front of your whole class and your face turns red.
- You say something silly at a party and your cheeks feel like they’re on fire.
