Why Do People Believe in Ghosts?

People believe in ghosts because they think spirits of the dead are still around. Sometimes, when something spooky happens, like seeing a shadow or hearing a voice, people say it's a ghost. It’s like thinking your favorite toy is still playing with you even after it's been put away.
