Why Do Our Eyes Twitch?

Have you ever felt a tiny drum beating inside your eyelid? That is your eye twitching! It happens when the small muscles around your eye get a little confused and start contracting on their own. Imagine your eye muscle is like a rubber band that got stretched too tight or forgot to relax.

Why Does It Happen?

Usually, it is because you are tired or have had too much soda. The signals in your brain get a bit noisy, telling the muscle to squeeze when it should stay still. It is not scary at all! Your body just needs a little break.

How to Fix It

Try drinking some water and sleeping early. If the tiny drum keeps beating, give your eyes a rest from screens. Most of the time, the twitch goes away on its own after you feel better.
