Why Do Old Phones Slow Down?

Why Does It Happen?

Imagine your phone is like a backpack. When you first get it, the backpack is empty and light, so running around is easy! But as time goes on, you add more toys (apps) to it. The backpack gets heavier.

Also, the battery inside is like a tiny bucket of water. Every day you use your phone, some "water" leaks out or gets stuck. The bucket isn't full anymore, so it can't give energy quickly.

What Can You Do?

Sometimes, the computer inside your phone notices the bucket is getting low. To keep running properly, it tells the toys to play a little slower. This stops the phone from crashing!

It feels like the phone is getting old and slow, but really, it is just being careful to stay healthy. You can help by deleting old photos or turning off apps you do not use.
