Why Do Oceans Change Color Every Day?

The ocean changes color depending on where the sun is. When it’s high in the sky, the light hits the water more directly and shows a bright blue. But when the sun is low, like in the morning or evening, the light travels through more of the atmosphere and makes the ocean look green or even purple. It's kind of like how your shadow gets longer as the day goes on, the position of the sun changes everything!
