Why Do Numbers Seem to Multiply When You Multiply?

Multiplying numbers is like growing a group of things by making more copies. If you have 3 apples and multiply them by 4, it’s like having 3 groups of 4 apples each, that makes 12 apples total! Instead of counting one-by-one, we use multiplication to grow our number quickly.
