Pi is like a special number that connects circles and measurements. Imagine you have a round pizza, the distance around it (the circumference) divided by its width (the diameter) always equals pi, no matter how big or small your pizza is! Pi starts with 3.14, but it never ends, it’s an infinite number that goes on forever.
Examples
- A pizza with a diameter of 2 units has a circumference of about 6.28 units, and that’s just pi times the diameter!
- Pi can also help measure how far a wheel rolls when it spins around once.
