Imagine you're trying to measure the distance around a circular cookie. If you use a string, and then straighten it out, that’s π times the diameter of the cookie! Now imagine π is like a really long list of numbers that never ends. That's why we call it an infinite decimal, because even though it starts with 3.14..., it goes on forever.
