Why do Nations Trade?

Imagine you and your friend each have a box of toys, but neither has all the toys they want, that's trading!

Just like you might trade your favorite car for your friend’s dinosaur because you love dinosaurs more, nations trade to get what they need or want most.

Why They Trade

Every country is good at making certain things. Maybe one has lots of apples and not enough bread, another has plenty of bread but few apples. By trading, both countries can have more of what they like best!

It's like having a special talent in a game: if you're really good at drawing, but your friend is great at building with blocks, you might trade drawings for block creations so both of you get to enjoy the things you love most.

What They Trade

They trade goods, like food or clothes, and sometimes services, like help fixing a car or teaching a class. These trades happen all over the world, just like how your toys can travel from one box to another when you trade!
