Infinite sets are like a never-ending line of cookies, you can always add one more, no matter how many there already are. Imagine a hotel with an infinite number of rooms. Even if every room is full, the hotel can still take in new guests by shifting everyone to the next room! That’s pretty weird, right?
Examples
- You can pair up the natural numbers (1, 2, 3, ...) with the even numbers (2, 4, 6, ...) and still have them match perfectly.
- Even if you take away half of an infinite set, like all the odd numbers from the counting numbers, you still have an infinite set left.
