Why do humans need to sleep and what happens if they don't?

Humans need to sleep because their brains need time to rest and repair, just like how you feel tired after playing a long game.

Imagine your brain is like a toy that runs all day, it’s used for thinking, learning, remembering, and even feeling happy or sad. When you’re awake, your brain is working hard, like a robot doing lots of tasks. If the robot never stops, it gets tired and can’t work as well.

What Happens If You Don't Sleep?

If humans don’t sleep enough, their brains get confused, just like when you forget where you put your favorite teddy bear after playing all day. They might feel grumpy, have trouble focusing, or even get sick easier, it's like not having time to clean up after a big mess.

Also, the body needs time to grow and heal while sleeping. If you don’t sleep enough, it’s like trying to build a tower with blocks but never letting them rest, the tower might wobble or fall!

So sleep is super important for your brain and body to stay happy and healthy!
