Body odor is like a message your skin sends out. When you sweat, especially in warm places like under your arms or on your feet, tiny creatures called bacteria live there and eat the sweat. When they eat it, they pooper out smelly stuff, that’s what makes you smell!
Examples
- A person wearing a shirt after working out smells because the bacteria on their skin made smelly stuff from sweat.
- Your feet smell in your socks because the bacteria eat up the sweat you make all day long.
- When someone doesn’t shower for a few days, they might smell like a cheese factory because the bacteria are multiplying and breaking down old sweat.
