The Busy Robot
Imagine a tiny robot arm living inside your computer. This robot has to find specific bits of information on a spinning record. It moves back and forth very fast.
Sometimes, the robot gets tired or confused. If it cannot grab the right spot, it lets out a little click sound. If this happens over and over again without success, we call it the click of death.
What Happens Next?
When the arm stops working properly, your computer can no longer read your photos or games. The record keeps spinning, but the robot just sits there clicking, trying to make sense of things. It is not broken forever, but it needs help before all its memories disappear.
