Why Many Tools Help
When an ecosystem has many different species, they do different jobs. Some plants make food. Some bugs eat bad insects. Some animals move seeds around. If you take away one tool, you can still use the others. But if you have only one tool and it breaks, you cannot build anything. This is why variety keeps nature strong.
The Safety Net Effect
Think of biodiversity as a safety net. If one animal gets sick, others can take over its job. This keeps the whole system from breaking. It is like having friends to help you. If one friend is busy, another can help. This makes the ecosystem healthy and happy. > Nature loves having backup plans!
Examples
- A fish tank with different fish keeps the water clean because each type eats different waste.
