Why Different Kids Have Different Special Days
Just like how some kids love pizza day and others love ice cream day, cultures have different reasons for celebrating. Some might celebrate a big event that happened long ago, like when a hero saved the day or when a country became free. Others might celebrate the changing of seasons, like when it gets cold outside and snow starts falling.
How Kids Show Their Love for Special Days
Some kids might shout "Happy Birthday!" with cake and balloons, while others might sing songs or dance around the house. Cultures do similar things: some people eat special food, others wear colorful clothes, or gather together to tell stories or play games. These ways of celebrating are like the different kinds of toys each kid has, they're all fun, but they’re not all the same!
So, holidays are just a way for cultures to say, "We're happy and proud!", and there's no one right way to do it!
