Why Do Bats Fly Upside Down?

Bats are like little upside-down monkeys. They hang from trees, caves, or even buildings by their feet, but why? Well, when they want to fly, hanging upside down gives them a push to get going quickly. It's easier for them to jump off and start flying that way than if they had to climb up.
