Why didn't Germany blockade the Strait of Gibraltar during WW2?

Germany didn't blockade the Strait of Gibraltar during World War 2, even though it could have helped them win more battles.

Imagine you're playing a game with your friend in the backyard, and there's a narrow path that leads to a big tree where all the toys are hidden. If you block that path, your friend can't reach the toys as easily, but if they find another way around, like through the neighbor’s yard, they might still get to the tree.

The Strait of Gibraltar is like that narrow path, it connects the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and during the war, it was a key route for ships from Britain. If Germany blocked it, British ships wouldn’t be able to travel so freely. But they didn’t do it because they were busy with other big battles, like fighting in France and Russia, and they didn’t have enough ships or soldiers to keep the strait blocked all by themselves.

Also, Germany had a lot of things going on at once, and they couldn't be everywhere at once, it's like trying to play three games at the same time!
