The Aztec Empire was like a big, strong castle. It had lots of soldiers and amazing buildings. But one day, a group of people from another place came to take over the castle. They had help from other tribes who were tired of being treated badly by the Aztecs. Soon, the Aztecs lost their power because they couldn’t fight back anymore.
The Big Fight
The soldiers from the other place, led by a man named Cortés, fought very hard against the Aztecs. They used horses and new weapons that the Aztecs had never seen before. The war was fast and fierce, but the Aztecs were weakened by disease and betrayal.
Why It Happened So Fast
Even though the Aztec Empire was strong, it didn’t last long because of a few things: surprise attacks, illness spreading quickly, and some of their own people helping their enemies. That’s why it fell so fast.
