Why Did Medieval Knights Lose Their Armor?

Once upon a time, knights looked like giant metal bugs. They wore full suits of shiny armor to protect themselves in battle. But slowly, people started wearing clothes instead! This happened because guns got better and horses became more important.

The Big Change

Knights used to wear heavy metal plates that covered their whole bodies. It was like wearing a refrigerator box to the park. It kept them safe from arrows, but it was very hot and tiring.

Guns Change Everything

New weapons called cannons could shoot balls so hard they would smash through even the thickest metal. So, knights didn't need as much armor. They started wearing nicer clothes that showed off their family crests.

Riding High

Also, horses became faster and stronger. Knights could ride quickly on warhorses without being weighed down by heavy steel. Now they looked like cool heroes in movies rather than walking ovens.
