Why are supply chains still facing disruptions globally?

Supply chains are like a long line of friends passing a toy from one to another, and right now, some friends are dropping it or getting distracted.

Supply chains are how things move around the world, like toys, food, or clothes. But sometimes, there are disruptions, which are like when someone in the line trips over their shoelaces or gets a big cookie in their hand and can’t pass the toy anymore.

Sometimes, people at the start of the line, like the factory where toys are made, have problems. Maybe there’s not enough glue to stick the toy together, so they make fewer toys. That means fewer toys reach the store, and kids might not get their favorite ones.

Also, sometimes the road or ship that carries the toys gets stuck in traffic or storms. It's like when you're trying to ride your bike to school but there’s a big puddle blocking the way, it slows you down.

Other times, people at the end of the line, like the stores, might need more toys than expected because more kids want them. But if the factory can’t make enough and the road is slow, the store can't have all the toys on time. That's why there are still disruptions in supply chains around the world, it's just a long line of friends trying to pass the toy without tripping or getting distracted!
