RAM prices are suddenly really high because there’s not enough RAM to go around, and people want it more than ever.
Think of RAM like a big table in a restaurant. When you eat at a restaurant, the table is where you put your food and work on your problems. If there are lots of tables, many people can sit down and enjoy their meals without waiting. But if the restaurant only has a few tables, everyone wants to sit at the same time, so they have to wait longer, or pay more for a bigger table.
Right now, it’s like that restaurant is full, but even more people want to come in. RAM is the table, and computers are the people eating. We use computers for everything, school, games, videos, and work. So there's a lot of demand, and not enough RAM to go around.
Also, some big companies make fewer RAM tables than usual, so it’s like they’re hiding behind the counter, saying “we’ll be back soon.” That makes the price even higher because there are fewer tables for more people wanting to sit down.
So now, every table (RAM) costs more money, that's why RAM prices are so high right now.
