Who is War of the Roses?

War of the Roses is like a big, exciting game between two families who wanted to be kings and queens of England.

Imagine you have a toy box full of your favorite toys, some are red, some are white. These colors represent two powerful families: the Lancasters (red) and the Yorkists (white). They both wanted to rule England, so they played a long game called the War of the Roses, which lasted for more than 30 years.

It started because there was a disagreement about who should be king. The Lancaster family thought their side was stronger and should win, just like when you argue with your friend over who gets to play with the biggest toy first.

Eventually, after many battles and lots of pretending (like playing tag or hide-and-seek), one family won. This helped make England a better place for everyone, kind of like how cleaning up your room makes you happy.
