The United States is like a big team of people who all live together in one country.
Imagine you have a neighborhood, but instead of just one block, it’s hundreds of blocks across the whole continent. That’s kind of what the United States is: a huge group of people from many different places who all work together as one country.
Like a Big Family
Think about your family, maybe you have cousins who live far away, but you still feel like part of the same family. The United States is like that big family. People from different states, cities, and even different countries (like Mexico or Canada) all live in the United States.
A Team with a Leader
The United States has a leader called the President, who helps make important decisions for everyone, just like how your teacher helps make decisions for your class.
So when we say “Who is United States?”, we’re saying it’s a big, friendly team of people from many places all working together in one country.
