Who is Sistine Chapel?

The Sistine Chapel is like a big, beautiful room where important art was made by super-talented people long ago.

Imagine your favorite classroom, but instead of desks and books, there are huge walls covered in amazing pictures. That’s the Sistine Chapel! It's not just any room; it's inside a special building called the Vatican, which is like the home of the Pope, the leader of many Christians around the world.

A long time ago, a very famous artist named Michelangelo was asked to paint the ceiling of this big room. Imagine painting on the top of your bedroom while standing on a ladder, that’s what he did, but much bigger! He painted scenes from the Bible, like how God gave life to Adam.

Years later, he also painted a huge picture called The Last Judgment on one of the walls. It shows people being judged by God, kind of like when your teacher checks your test paper at the end of the year!
