Who is Palace of Knossos?

The Palace of Knossos is like a big, ancient house that kings and queens used to live in way back then.

Imagine you have the biggest treehouse ever, with lots of rooms, stairs going up and down, and maybe even some secret passages. That’s kind of what the Palace of Knossos was, but for kings and queens on a island called Crete.

Inside the palace, there were many rooms, just like in your house, but much bigger! There were places to cook food, rooms where people met and talked, and even some bathrooms (or what they had back then). It was built long ago, around 2000 years before you were born.

This big palace wasn’t just a home. It was also the center of power on Crete, like the main office for the king and queen. People came from all over to visit or work there. Some even lived in the palace too!

So, the Palace of Knossos is like that amazing treehouse you dream about, but it was real, and it belonged to kings and queens who ruled a whole island!
