Who is New Deal?

The New Deal was like a big hug from the government to help people during a really hard time.

Imagine your favorite toy breaks, you feel sad and don’t know how to fix it. That’s what happened to many families in the 1930s when something called the Great Depression made life tough for everyone. People didn’t have enough money, jobs were gone, and even banks could fail.

Like a Superhero Team

The New Deal was like a superhero team that came to save the day, it had lots of different members who did special things:

  • Some people got jobs, like when your parents get work at the store.
  • Others got help with money or food, like getting an extra snack when you’re hungry.
  • There were even programs to fix roads and bridges, just like how you might build a treehouse.

These helpers made life easier for many people, helping them feel less worried about the future. It was like having a safety net, if things got really tough, there was something there to catch you.
