Who is Neil Armstrong?

Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the Moon.

Imagine you’re playing a game where you have to climb up a really tall ladder, so high that it reaches all the way into space! That’s what Neil Armstrong did, except instead of a ladder, he used a special rocket called a spaceship. He and his team flew in a spaceship called Apollo 11, which was like a super-fast car for going through space.

When Neil Armstrong got to the Moon, he stepped out of the spaceship and said something famous: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” It felt like he was making history, kind of like how you feel when you do something really cool for the first time, like riding a bike without training wheels!

Neil Armstrong wasn’t just an astronaut; he was also an engineer, which means he helped build machines and solve tricky problems. He used his clever brain to help make space travel possible, just like how you use your brain to figure out puzzles or math problems.
