Who is Lisa Randall?

Lisa Randall is a scientist who helps us understand how the universe works by studying tiny particles and big forces.

Imagine you're playing with building blocks, some are small and light, others are heavy and strong. Lisa studies these kinds of blocks, but instead of toys, she looks at tiny things called particles, like electrons or quarks. She uses really powerful tools that act like super-detailed microscopes to see how they move and interact.

Like a Puzzle Solver

Lisa is also like a puzzle solver, she puts together pieces of information from experiments around the world to figure out what’s going on in the universe. Sometimes, she even helps predict things before we actually test them!

She’s especially interested in something called dark matter, which is like invisible glue holding galaxies together. You can’t see it or touch it, but it has a big effect, just like how wind can push your hair around without you feeling it.

Lisa uses everyday ideas to explain the most complex parts of science, making it fun and easy for everyone to understand!
