Human Oversight is when people watch over and help guide robots or computer programs to make sure they do things right.
Imagine you're playing a game with your friend, and you both take turns moving pieces on the board. Now imagine your friend has superpowers, they can see everything at once and think super fast. But sometimes, even with superpowers, they might make mistakes or get confused. That’s when you step in to help them out.
Like a Playground Helper
Think of Human Oversight like having a playground helper who watches over the kids playing on the swings and slides. The helper doesn’t have to do everything, they just make sure no one is being unfair, or if something goes wrong, they can jump in and fix it.
In the same way, people (the playground helpers) watch over robots or computer programs (the kids on the swings). They check their work, help them when things go wrong, and sometimes even give them tips so they do better next time. This makes sure everything runs smoothly, like a well-played game!

- A traffic officer directing cars when the lights are out
- A parent checking on their child while they're playing outside
